About The JETTY HOUSE SOUTHPORT
Step into the timeless world of The Jetty House. Savour the fresh local produce, collect your own oysters from pristine waters and breathe the clear air. Walk on untracked beaches or relax with (or without!) a book on the wide verandas (in summer) or next to a log fire (winter).
A traditional B&B with spacious rooms, or rent the whole house for self contained accommodation for up to 12. The Jetty House offers a comfortable base for the exploration of the Southern wilderness area.
The Jetty House is located close to the wharf, and has been the centre of life in this still active fishing port and haven for cruising boats.
Built in 1876 it served as a home for the family of Joseph Graves as well as mill office and store for 20 years, It then became home to three generations of the Hay Family before being holiday home for thousands of Hobart and Huon School children when it passed to the Christian Brothers.
